This is a fantastic chance to join a growing renewable energy business in a South-based Field Service Engineer position. If you’re based in the South East and have a background in engines whether from power generation, automotive, or similar and want a role where you’re trusted to manage your time, work independently, and be part of a real sustainability mission, this one’s for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintain and operate landfill gas engines and associated plant
Perform servicing, diagnostics, and minor overhauls
Record and report performance data and site checks
Collaborate with local and national teams to optimise uptime
Participate in the on-call rota (1-in-5 once fully staffed)
Travel across sites in the region with door-to-door time paid

Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-Have:

Mechanical hands-on experience (e.g. car/HGV mechanic, generator tech, plant fitter)
UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and work varied hours

Great-to-Have:

Experience with gas engines, CHP units or landfill gas sites
A background in biogas, energy-from-waste, or similar
Ex-forces or self-taught engineers encouraged to apply

What You’ll Get

£40,000–£45,000 base depending on experience
Overtime paid at time-and-a-half beyond 45 hrs/week
Door-to-door travel time paid
Tools, van, PPE, uniform provided
Rare overnights, typically home each night
