Sustain Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Primary Layout Engineer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team in Bristol. This hybrid Engineering role is full-time and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Primary Layout Engineer, you will work on electrical projects on behalf of the company, involving projects ranging from LV through to 132kV. You will assist in the conceptual design of various types of energy projects, principally Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage System facilities.
During your first few weeks in this Primary Layout Engineer role, you can expect to take on some of the following:
AutoCAD 2D and 3D products
Adhere to all safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications
Complete and record risk assessments and Daily Diary sheets as instructed
Attend training as required to maintain knowledge and application of systems and procedures
The successful Primary Layout Engineer applicant will have 10 years of experience in a Contracting/Consulting environment. You will also require:
Sound numeracy skills and HV/EHV experience
IT systems experience and competency
Project Management experience
Experience working with IDNOs, DNOs, or ICPs and working to BSEN, IEC, IEEE, and CENELEC Standards
A sound knowledge of engineering design principles
