Your Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of carbon and sustainability reporting, including compliance with UK schemes such as the RHI, RO, FIT, and RTFO.
Deliver calculations and submissions for international and voluntary schemes (ISCC, GGCS, DENA).
Build and deliver the company’s Sustainability Roadmap focusing on biogas loss, methane leakage, sustainable agriculture, and consumables.
Improve the accuracy and automation of greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations and underlying emissions data.
Train and upskill internal teams on sustainability principles and reporting practices.
Work closely with commercial, engineering, and operational teams to ensure projects align with lifecycle sustainability goals.
Provide internal and external technical expertise on sustainability frameworks and lifecycle analysis.
Prepare board-level reporting, budgets, and documentation for regulatory bodies.
Your Background
Essential:
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar.
3+ years of relevant experience in a bio-processing, low-carbon, or industrial sustainability role.
Strong knowledge of GHG reporting, carbon lifecycle analysis, and sustainability legislation.
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
Able to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
Desirable:
MSc or PhD in a related discipline.
Experience with anaerobic digestion, biofuels, or renewable energy compliance.
Post-qualification leadership development training or certifications.
Personal Traits
Analytical, curious, and commercially aware.
Comfortable with both detail and strategy.
Clear communicator and able to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences.
Enjoys solving complex challenges and driving improvement across systems.
