What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development, execution, and reporting of the maintenance plan.
- Triage and assign reactive maintenance tasks to minimise plant downtime.
- Lead root cause analysis and fault resolution to reduce equipment failures.
- Manage shutdown periods, ensuring resource planning and performance reviews.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure alignment with critical spares strategy.
- Support the Site Leader with budgeting and long-term service planning.
- Ensure legal compliance across all maintenance activities (including PAS110).
- Lead site inspections, audits, SOP/Risk Assessment adherence, and contractor safety.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence.
- Manage and develop maintenance staff through PDPs, training plans, and mentorship.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years in a dynamic manufacturing or engineering setting.
- Proven track record in leading a small to medium-sized maintenance team.
- Highly competent in plant maintenance planning and production-focused delivery.
- Permit to work experience and high-level understanding of compliance frameworks.
- Excellent IT and data analysis skills (Excel proficiency essential).
- Ability to work at pace while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Exposure to anaerobic digestion, bioenergy, or process plant operations.
- Experience in quality standards such as PAS110, ISO9001.
- Familiarity with purchasing/maintenance management systems.
- Budget management, auditing, and/or Six Sigma training.
- IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
- HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (electrical/mechanical/process).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good Higher results in Maths and a science-related subject.
