We’re hiring for a hands-on Plant Maintenance Engineer to join the site team at a well-established anaerobic digestion facility.
This is a proactive, site-based role where you’ll lead preventative maintenance, assist with compliance and permitting and be a key player in ensuring smooth and reliable plant operations.
If you enjoy solving problems, working on rotating equipment and getting stuck in this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance across pumps, pipework, conveyors, gearboxes and other process equipment
- Supporting maintenance planning and asset reliability strategy
- Interrogating SCADA systems and assisting with fault diagnosis (training provided if needed)
- Working with contractors and suppliers on site ensuring quality, safety and efficiency
- Supporting compliance, including permit-to-work systems and maintenance record keeping
- Participating in the call-out rota (approx. 1 weekend in 4)
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with rotating/process equipment pumps, valves, gearboxes, blowers etc.
- Good understanding of safety systems, permits and isolation procedures
- Comfortable using or learning SCADA/PLC systems for diagnostics
- Ideally from a background in AD, biogas, wastewater or process manufacturing
- Team player with a strong sense of ownership and a hands-on approach
